The Holy Spirit is our constant guide and advisor. He is our 'paraclete' - the one called along side to help us.

A Guide, A Counsellor

Jesus Christ, gave to us,
at His last farewell,
a guide, counsellor
with us to dwell.

He appeared, like a dove,
shelt' ring wings outspread,
healing, peace and love,
on earth to shed.

He comes now to teach, subdue,
and to convice;
He came as the wind,
and as viewless too.

Sweet influence, to impart
will our gracious guest,
to each humble heart,
where He can rest.

soft as wind at ev'n
fear and faults remove,
He speaks of heav'n.

Each virtue, we possess,
and each vict'ry won,
ev' ry holy thought,
are His alone.

Spirit of truth and grace,
see our frail'ty,
