My name is Clyde McLennan, and I live in Australia.
I am 65 years of age. |
Musician
During my teenage years, I learnt to play the Pipe Organ, and
enjoyed playing the classics from the great composers. All through my life,
there has always been opportunities to publically use my musical gifts.
(There is some of my organ playing on my site at www.smallchurchmusic.com ).
I've always had a wide musical taste, and greatly enjoyed
improvisiations of well known tunes and hymns. This interest in
improvisation has led me to do study in jazz piano playing, which
is reflected in the songs in the www.jazzworship.com web page.

Baptist Minister
I'm and ordained Baptist Minister, and for about 25 years served in
many of our smaller and often struggling Churches in a part time capacity.
My main gifts of ministry have been in the teaching and explaining what
God's Word means to us today. People often tell me I can express its truth
and message in a way they can understand. |
Working Life
As indicated above, I looked after smaller Churches while I supported
myself through secular employment. Since 1970 I have worked at
Australia's largest paper mills, designing, programming and implementing
computer software systems for the manufacturing and commercial processes.
Having now retired from full-time secular employment, the Paper Mills have
asked me to stay on as an occasional consultant.
This has given me the opportunity to follow other pursuits, and hence
taking up composing and writing, where were not previously possible.

Family
I'm married to a lovely supportive wife. She too is a fine musician, and
over the years has done a lot of accompanying. In recent days we have played in
some local aged care facilities.
We have previously travelled to USA and Canada to see family and for work. Since my
retirement from fulltime work, we have travelled overseas through United Kingdom and
Europe, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
